Our Recruitment
Why Join?
Develop friendships within your major. Phi Beta Chi members constantly say how welcoming it is to walk into a class and already know others from Phi Beta Chi in the room to sit with or work on a group project together.
Develop your professionalism in all aspects. Members grow professionally from speakers who come in, standards of professional dress, tips for emails, LinkedIn, and even professional photos taken for social profiles.
Get an inside look at the communication field. From the annual professional trip to company visits in the Dayton area, Phi Beta Chi makes sure that members get experience inside the communication field before they graduate.
Internships and professional opportunities. Chances are that if there is a communication internship in the area, or elsewhere, a PBX brother has worked there and can recommend you or give your more information. PBX is a network in college and as an alumni.
Networking. Today, it is all about who you know. Phi Beta Chi has great relationships with companies and businesses in Dayton and beyond, and best of all, puts our members out there to tour and meet those that spark their interest.

The New Member Process
The new member process occurs during an entire semester, but will fly by! The process is designed to develop each candidate professionally and get to know all members in the fraternity before becoming a brother. If you have any questions, we would be happy to chat. Our email is [email protected].
